French Wines

France’s winemaking dates to pre-Roman times. The families here have been producing and passing down the lessons learned in making French wines for centuries. Some chateaux have produced their French wines openly; others remained in obscurity, developing a sophisticated clientele and a coveted product. Each of the principle French regions have its own unique identity, based on the types of grapes grown in the area and the surrounding terrain; all contributing factors to the fragrance, color and taste of the end product.

In the Bordeaux region alone there are approximately 7000 chateaux. Wine tasting and county tours has developed into a secondary industry for the regions. It is easy to see with so many chateaux that the selection of the perfect French wines can be confusing. In addition we also screen selections from the smaller, lesser-known vineyards in an effort to bring you the best taste experience possible.
